3d Realms Developer of ‘Duke Nukem’ Shuts down
May 6, 2009 by srfto

A reliable source said that 3d Realms, the developers of ‘Duke Nukem’ is shutting down. Sources say this was due to financial problems within the company. However, Apogee Software and Deep Silver stated that they will not be affected by this. According to 3D Realms co-founder George Broussard, said on his Twitter that they are “closing out a milestone this week” as of mid-April. Although, there were no new news since last summer about the game or any information it was about to be launched. So there you have it, 13 years of developing ‘Duke Nukem’ and just a blink of an eye, it is gone. It is very sad to hear this about 3d Realms, when they were so very close to launching their main popular franchise series. Guess we have to Move On. Duke Nukem Fans!
