Assassin’s Creed 2 Trailer, Demo Gameplay, Screenshots and Release Date

June 10, 2009 by Ruibo

assassins-creed-2-flight-1Lots of goodies on the hot upcoming sequal Assassin’s Creed 2 at this years E3 but unfortunately did not catch the attention it deserved so here’s a reminder of how awesome the game is turning out.

First off, if you haven’t seen the trailer, here it is in HD!

It gives us a taste of the new setting and characters for this sequel, fast forwarded some 300 years in the timeline since the prior game, as this new game takes place in renaissance Italy, circa 1486.

Now raw hands on gameplay footage.

Yes, he’s actually flying!!! After seeing this video you probably could careless about the screenshots but for those who are, you can see them below. Last but not least, Assassin’s Creed II is set for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, PC and will be coming out on November 17th. It’s on almost every console so there’s “almost” no excuse not to get it. Please don’t tell me you’re not getting it cause you only own a Wii!

    Why would you even read the article and even comment if you don’t care about the game. What a sad existence you have that you think you need to comment on everything.

    It looks great, I just hope it’s a little less repetitive than the first one. Even though each level was unique, you ended up doing the same things over and over.

    cant wait for this game, and i agree, i hope it isnt so repetitive. id love for the story line to coincide wich ac pt1 and to explain the secret symbols and writings on the wall and floors.

    I can’t wait. I think it’s sweet that he’ll only have his hidden blades, throwing knives and his gun on him, and that he has to get larger weapons from guards. Helps him blend in when all his weapons are hidden.

    Looks like they made some definite improvements. I like the technique of assassinating 2 guards at once in the 2nd video. There were a few times in AC1 that would have come in handy. The biggest thing I wouldn’t mind seeing that still doesn’t seem to be included game-play wise would be the ability to disguise yourself like in Hitman. I never really liked the fact that you have to essentially reveal yourself to make an assassination. Still looks pretty cool.

    I think i’m the only one who wasn’t bothered by how repetetive AC1 was, I loved the game play and didnt seem to get bored even though it was pretty much the same.

    On the other hand AC2 by the looks of things is going to over-rule AC1 massivly, Diversity is always a good thing and compared to AC1 there is a stupendouse amount of things available.

    Faster climbing by the looks of things also.

    A++++

    i loved AC1. all the things that i thought got a little boring (small weapons arsenal, same thing over and over) seemed to have been fixed. also the new assassination techniques of double hidden blade and kill from the sky thing goin on there look totally badass i cant wait for the 17th

    This game looks way better than the first and the first one was very good in my opinion. i watched a video on XBOX LIVE and the programmer guy said that they took the repetitiveness(spelling) into consideration and changed the whole gameplay of the new game. I also love the double assasinations, fighting with bare hands, and the assasination from the sky. I am definetely getting this game and can’y wait for the 17th. :) OVERALL: GREAT GAME (even though i haven’t played it).
