Bioshock 2: First Look

Because of the enormous commercial success and high demands from the fans, 2k opened up a new studio, created specifically to work on their new game: BioShock 2.
If you haven’t played BioShock before, then i recommend you to, at least, download the demo, because you don’t know what you are missing. You start out as Jack, a hapless individual trapped in an, once-glorious, undersea city called Rapture, founded by Andrew Ryan, a business mogul in search for the perfect society. Instead of being a city full of happy people, Rapture became a scary, dark and dangerous world, populated by hostile mutants, genetic collectors and gigantic metal monsters, due to Ryan’s genetic experimentation.
The main problem that game designers from 2k Marine had to confront is the storyline, that had a “difficult’ and straight end.
In an interview given to Gamespot, 2K Marine released some information regarding the sequel, like time, place, our main character… Please be aware that spoilers may be arise from “within” the depths of this article.
The game takes place 10 years after the events in the first game, in Rapture, where the player takes control of a prototype big daddy, freed by Dr. Tenenbaum. Young girls are being kidnapped by a “Big Sisters”, who might just be an original “little sister” freed by Jack at the end of the first game, and are held “hostage” under the sea. We also know that Dr. Tenenbaum clearly has some knowledge of what’s happening and feels responsible, and we also know that she seems particularly interested in one “little sister”.
More details are yet to be released, but from the looks of it, a really early look, BioShock 2 seems to be heading in the right direction. What I am curious to know is how will the player be able to control a Big Daddy, what new parts will be added to Rapture and who exactly is the “Big Sister”.
