Not one, nor two, nor three… four development houses are working right now in the sequel of the magnificent game Bioshock. The release date is set for November 3 for Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC and if this game gets delayed it won´t be because of the lack of staff.

2K Marin counted on 2K Australia, as they did on the original Bioshock, for the technological part, they also hired Digital Extremes to develop the multiplayer part of the game and now they picked up Arkane Studios to assist them with “design, animation, and art”.

With their main headquarters located  in Lyon (France) and satellite offices in Austin (Texas) Arkane Studios were the developers of Arx Fatalis in 2002 and the original edition of Ubisoft’s Dark Messiah of Might and Magic in 2006.Alyssa Finley, producer of 2K Marin, said about the participation of this French company in their main site:

“I’m proud to say that we’ve added another important developer to the mix. Under the direction and leadership of 2K Marin, Arkane is assisting in the creation of levels that embody the aesthetic and gameplay ideals that make BioShock such a unique and exciting experience”
