The PS3 version Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is apparently chock-full of hackers. A thread on the official Infinity Ward forums implies that they are getting ready to take action against those ruining the game for others.

The Infinity Ward forums have been full of reports from players who have seen hackers in CoD 4 and don’t want to take it anymore. The Modern Warfare official moderator has sent a letter to Infinity Ward to try to have action taken against the hackers.

Some of the seen hacks include going through buildings, flying, unlimited ammo, and not needing to reload. These exploits even seem to be growing to the Xbox 360 version, as reports are seeping into the official 360 forum for the game as well.

Infinity Ward has responded via Twitter, and they assure that they are investigating the glitchers. Players are encouraged to report anyone using glitch exploits or hackers they see in Call of Duty 4.

It’s sad when some people ruin a game for others, but that’s how onling gaming goes, right? Who hasn’t run into at least one hacker in an online game? Hacking in console games is nowhere near as common, probably because their console can be banned. Here’s to hoping these hackers get what’s coming to them.
