Call of Duty Elite Beta will not be Available for PC Gamers At All

earlier it was reported that PC gamers will have to wait until Fall to try out Call of Duty: Elite Beta. This came about with a comment from Activision social media manager Dan Amrich who wrote on his blog that:

“PC players will have to wait until the fall to try it out.”

However, Amrich updated the blog and correct the mistake by saying:

Looks like some people took “PC players will have to wait until the fall to try it out” to mean there would be a PC beta in the fall. Uh, no — the beta is taking place this summer, and the final Elite service is launching in the fall, on November 8. Therefore…PC players will have to wait until the fall to try it out. I’ve amended the above so it’s more clear.

So there you have it, Call of Duty Elite Beta will only be available for PS3 and Xbox 360, while PC gamers will just have to wait until it is launched and go in blindly. The full service will be released alongside with Modern Warfare 3 on November 8.

I wonder if he got bombarded with angry PC gamer emails because there are already a lot of angry comments on that post. Excluding a huge community from a beta is a no-no.
