Starting today, Sony is finally allowing Canadians to purchase PSN cards to give those without a credit card a chance to dig into the goodies on the Playstation Store.

The cards come in $20 and $50 denominations and are currently available at GameStop and EB Games (they still have that?), but Sony will be distributing to other retailers such as Future Shop, Best Buy, the Source, Rogers Plus, and HMV. They are confident that there will not be a shortage of game cards, but who knows? Canada could be rabid for these cards and buy them all up and horde them for decades.

It’s too bad Sony hasn’t launched the cards in Europe yet, despite the booming demand and the fact that they’ll make money hand over fist in the process. Oh Sony, will you ever learn?
