Capcom cancels Mega Man Universe

Mega Man Universe was due for release in Spring this year on the Playstation Network and Xbox Live Arcade, but has been cancelled by the game’s developer Capcom.

Capcom did not provide any specific details on why it has been canned, the only statement they’ve made was due to “various circumstances”. On a side note, they at least gave an apology to those who were waiting for the release and those connected to the game.

The Man Universe was a 2.5D platformer, one major aspect of the game included a level editor in which players could create their own stages. It also would have been the first game in the franchise to be referred to as “Mega Man” in Japan, where the franchise was always known as “Rockman”.
