Capcom to Make Friends with Bungie?

September 15, 2009 by Polt

A Capcom and Bungie collaboration wouldn’t seem like the most likely development pair, but it could be on the horizon. Just possibly. Maybe.

Keiji Inafune, one of Capcom’s biggest think tanks and father of Mega Man, made his way over to Bungie Studios a few days ago. What Inafune’s visit could mean a number of things, with the most obvious being the steadily growing interest of Japanese developers to work with Western studios.

Bungie’s blog has quite the huge post, but deep in there is an interview with Inafune packed with juicy insight from the gaming god. The most interesting being his possible interest in collaborating with Bungie in the future.

Both Capcom and Bungie are two of the biggest developers in the industry — a game developed by both would most likely be amazing. For the whole interview along with a whole slew of other Bungie news, check out the ginormous blog post.  It’s more than worth the read.

That would be interesting. But I couldn’t imagine it being for anything ohter the 360 (or PC), since microsoft owns Bungie (I think).
