It’s no surprise that Xbox Live Silver members won’t get as sweet of a deal as Gold members once Last.fm hits the 360, but just how much better will it be for Gold members?

Xbox Live general manager Christina DeRosa spoke with Joystiq to clear some things up.

“Silver users will be able access what we’re considering a trial period of three hours a month, which comes with video advertising. Gold users will have unlimited ad-supported access, so they can use it 24 hours a day. There will also be a premium offering on a subscription basis from Last.fm, that will be commercial free and will also have more sophisticated personalization features, like Loved Tracks.”

Three hours a month for Silver users? Man, Microsoft really wants those subscriptions.

But it’s great news for Gold members, who can listen to what they want with no constraints with only a little interruption once in a while. And even then, those who detest the advertisements can hop on the last.fm train and dish out $3 a month on a membership for the site.

It’s sort of a mixed bag of news, but more features on the 360 are always a good thing.
