There has been plenty of news coming from within the States about all the new products revealed at the last E3 show in Los Angeles, but not much feed back from the UK until now. Below is what the UK critics are predicting will be the best three games for 2009 and 2010.

Without a doubt, the number one game on the UK’s most anticipated list is Batman: Arkham Asylum, by Eidos for 360, PS3. This hotly anticipated game will reach the US on August 28th. It’s a dark atmospheric adventure that places players in the belly of Gotham’s psychiatric hospital, where criminally insane characters like the joker await to unleash their havoc on the dark night hero, Batman. People in England love the Batman franchise. UK critics believe this version is squaring up to be the best bat by far.

Next on the list is Gran Turismo 5 by Sony for PS3. UK critics believe that Gran Turismo 5 had a stunning debut at E3. Though they did state that Sony is slow to update newer and fresher versions of the Gran Turismo games. However, this racing simulation is definitely worth the wait, especially when sixteen opponents can start their engines and race against each other online. It is the most realistic auto racing simulation yet. Gran Turismo 5 is set for release in October 2009.
Red Steel 2 by Ubistoft for Wii had a brief mention. UK critics believe that RS2 is much improved over the last version. Players have a better quality controller where they can actually feel the heaviness of the sword swing. The western setting and cowboy clad sword fighter is another welcomed change. A release date has not been confirmed.

Finally, the Brits were moved by the breathtaking beauty of The Last Guardian by Ico for PS3. Critics believe this game matches Ico’s earlier releases with it’s story line and charm. Though the actual details of the game are sketchy, we do know that the story line is about a boy and a hybrid eagle like creature known as a griffon. Both are trapped in a fortress and have to work together to escape. It looks very impressive, but likely not to have any release date until 2010.
