Turbine just announce that the free version of ‘Dungeons and Dragons Online’ will be released on August 4th this year.

You probably wondering how will they make money if its free to play, well they will be making money from their DDO store which sells potions, dungeon packs, character customization, and many more new contents.

There will be a monthly subscription if you so choose to join the DDO VIP which will provide you with all the premium content. Smart move and a fresh breathe of air from the usual forced MMO monthly subscription.
