EA announces new Sims game: The Sims Medieval

If you’re a gamer you probably know all about The Sims. If you haven’t played The Sims it’s a simulation game in which you need to create your own family and your home and live in it. It’s a simple idea that has been present for the past ten years and that has gained a huge audience. If you remember we had three The Sims games in the past and many expansion packs for each of them, but now we’re about to see something completely different from Electronic Arts.

If you remember, there were all sorts of expansions in The Sims series that allowed you to visit all sorts of places, such as nightclubs, exotic places and such, but now for the first time we’ll get the chance to visit medieval times. The Sims Medieval is not an expansion pack, it’s a unique spin-off that will change the game entirely. The Sims Medieval will allow you to build your own heroes, complete quests and even to build up your own kingdom. Speaking of quests you’ll have certain quests such as forging of legendary sword, defeating wizards and such. Of course you can take the role of the King and rule your kingdom and you might even be able to conquer adjacent kingdoms.

The Sims Medieval sounds promising enough and we can only guess what we’ll see in this game. According to the developers release date is scheduled for spring 2011 for PC and Mac so we’re looking forward to it. After The Sims Medieval what else can we expect, The Sims Space perhaps?
