The upcoming F1 racing sim F1 2010, the obvious sequel to F1 2009 (which hasn’t even been released yet), greeted the world for the first time in the form of the first screenshots that appeared in Famitsu magazine in Japan. While the screen shots are still from an early version of the game, they look pretty slick.

F1 2009 will be coming to store shelves for the Wii and PSP later this year. If you’re wondering what graphics that good looking are doing on the Wii, let’s clear up the confusion: F1 2010 will be coming to the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC in the future, not the Wii.

Codemasters are pretty well known for producing some solid racing games, so a lot of F1 fans are really psyched about what they’ll come up with for their favorite style of racing. The game is based on the same engine that produced some of their previous games, so this kind of quality is pretty much expected.
