Entropia’s Virtual Space Station Sold for a Whopping $330,000!

December 31, 2009 by srfto

MindArk’s MMO called ‘Entropia Universe’ held a auction recently that sold a space station called the ‘Crystal Palace’ for 3,300,000 PED (game money). The currency of 3,300,000 PED when converted to US
dollars turns out to be $330,000, which makes this the most expensive virtual item to be auctioned off.

The winner bidder goes by the avatar name ‘Buzz Erik Lightyear’ who is one of the top crafters in the game of ‘Entropia Universe’. Of course, he did not pay with real currency but most likely spent a whole lot of time collecting that amount of in-game currency. Well you can check out his new pad below in the video and see what $330,000 dollars can buy you in ‘Entropia Universe’. I was also kind of scratching my head as to whether there were actually other players bidding close to that amount.

Well grats to ‘Buzz Erik Lightyear’ for winning the Crystal Palace Space Station.

If it was I who own this space station I would charge 1,000,000 PED for any players that want to step into it (BAM INVESTMENT!).

the previous owner would charge 10 dollars for a ticket and there would be music and lots of people gathering around. He made a good deal of money already with this club. Nice to see the game is still doing well.
