EverQuest I and II Getting Brand New Expansions

The game that first comes to mind for many when they hear “MMORPG” is World of Warcraft. But the original MMO-monster EverQuest and its sequel are still on the block, and they’re getting some brand new expansions.
Sony Online Entertainment announced the expansions for the classic MMOs at its Fan Faire in Las Vegas just days ago.
The expansion for the original EverQuest, dubbed Underfoot, will introduce a new underground zone for players to explore. It is the 16th expansion to the long-running game.
Sentinel’s Fate, EverQuest II’s 6th expansion, will raise the level cap to 90, as well as implement a feature that will allow high-level characters to go through low-level content and still gain experience. And to hop on the achievement bandwagon, they will also be throwing in a new achievement system to make all those years playing the game feel special.
Original EverQuest players can get their hands on the expansion in November, while those who play EverQuest II are going to have to wait for theirs until February 2010.
