Free 7 day Warhammer Online trial or $15 for the game

Updated: Official 100% Free Warhammer Online Trial
Just got an email this morning regarding Mythic partnering up with iGames to give away 7 day free trials. This offer is valid under December 31st, 2008 or while supplies last. The link above was to their previous event. The new giveaway event has not been officially announced on their site yet. These trial accounts are absolutely free and no credit cards are needed to activate your account. There are also no restrictions of any type, including level, nor any other features of the game.
Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning trial accounts are available exclusively through iGames for member LAN centers. A little unfortunate considering many people are looking to try but just not yet ready to buy. You have two ways of acquiring them. You can either go to the iGames center yourself or leave a comment over at Down to the Last Save who has a few and are giving them away. Mythic themselves do not offer a free trial, not yet at least.
This would be a great way for Mythic to add some numbers to their subscriber base as well as a small gift to a friend or family. We could certainly use some more players in the battlefield. For such a great game, they should really have more players. It’s hard getting another addict to move to a new game (wow players).
If you’re unable to get a free trial I suggest checking out Amazon. They currently have the game up for some retarted cheap prices. Practically cheaper than than the timecard itself. There is a seller with good feedback selling for $10.99 + $3.99 shipping and a few others for under $20. That’s the same price for a 1 month subscription. There are also a few others selling for just as low. Enjoy and see yah in the battlefield.

Again only US and Canada? Does Mythic like so many Americans still think the world ends at their beaches?
I started WoW thanks to the free trial period they had, and have been very interested in Warhammer Online. But I’m not gonna splash out the money for a subscriber game hoping it is something I like. Have to pass up on this one then.
Well, when WoW started they did not instantly offer a free 7 day trial. It wasn’t until months later that the offer came about. Warhammer is still fairly new I’d say. Either way, the game is already at a dirt cheap price.
I forgot to mention, the prices on Amazon tends to fluctuate depending on the seller and availability, just wanted to make a note of that because it’s no longer $10.99, its about $11.99 now.
Hmm… weird… when I have a look at Amazon’s site, whether it is Amazon.com (following the above link!!), Amazon.co.uk, or Amazon.de, it retails at around $49,99 give or take a few dollars after conversion. It seems another price is listed dependent from which country you are browsing
As I said before, way to much to “go and try”
And still leaves the question unanswered: why only the free trials in the USA and Canada? See, point is, there *are* free trials around, only not in Europe/UK
Well, Mythic in whole is not offering a free trial to the general public, which includes the US as well. Reason why there is one available is through an agreement they’ve made with iGames.
As for the price of the game, after you arrive on the game page you have to click the used and new link which is found under the price, for the uk site, its £13.01 which can be found here http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-listing/B001CDKWVG/ref=dp_olp_2/277-6347640-8094711?ie=UTF8&qid=1229700603&sr=8-1
Hope that helps.

It’s a new post outlining the new “Refer a friend” program. I will be closing comments on this post so we can keep all the comments on one proper post.
