Gamestop Giving Away Free Prototype Jackets, $50 Gift Cards

Gamestop is running a special promotion for fans of the new game Prototype… or just anyone who wants a chance at a free $50 gift card or a replica of the main character Alex Mercer’s (I guess) iconic leather jacket.
Unfortunately, neither the hoodie that is also key to the character’s look, nor the amazing acrobatic skills and DNA sucking power are included. The promotion looks to be trying to highlight the elements of freerunning, or parkour, that play into the game, as it is linked to an exclusive video that combines gameplay from Prototype with footage of an actual freerunner dressed in Alex Mercer’s clothes doing his thing in New York City.
The sweepstakes is very easy to enter – all you’ve got to do is text the word “Prototype” to the number 65579. You have until the 8th of July to enter. Alternately, if you don’t have a text-capable cell phone or just don’t feel like paying the 5 cents or whatever, you send an email to: prototype@themarketingarm.com with “Enter Me” as the subject line, and first and last name, phone number, and date of birth in the body.
In total 4 of the Tommy Hilfiger Tommy Moto jackets will be handed out, along with 30 $50 gift cards over the course of the sweepstakes. Check the Gamestop promotion site for more details.
