Gears of War 2 Online Play Free for Weekend

This weekend, any Silver Xbox Live member who hasn’t gotten their butts kicked in multiplayer Gears of War 2 finally has their chance.

Silver members can play GoW 2 this weekend completely free of charge. The promo is lasting until August 3 (Monday) at 11:59 AM, and is the perfect chance to convince yourself to get a Live account if you haven’t already.

Then again, it’s also the perfect chance for long-time players with Gold memberhips to stomp your head in — play at your own risk of frustration-induced sobbing.
