Grand Slam Tennis Preview
June 29, 2009 by srfto

With Maria Sharapova vowing to return after her humbling defeat at Wimbledon and staffers coming down with Swine Flu symptoms, now might be a good time to stick to EA Sports’ Grand Slam Tennis.
The new release coincides with the annual two week Wimbledon matches. Grand Slam Tennis uses Wii’s MotionPlus add-on dongle so that you can play your way to the prestigious center court having the advantage of a brilliant 1:1 racket swing. Wii’s newest improvement goes a long way from simply flicking the wrists.
Critics are saying that Grand Slam Tennis is not the simple “pick-up and –play” type of game, which is a good thing. Like real tennis, you must practice. This is easily accomplished by using the practice court feature that helps you perfect your swing. Once you get the hang of that topspin the rest should come easy.
The Career Modes are really cool too because you can work your way through all four Grand Slams as a single player, or, if you like, playing doubles.
With Wimbledon well underway, it’s time to challenge your favourite tennis player and join the ranks of Andy Murry.
