Help Design a Zombie Game
In the past, Valve has brought up a new business concept of funding their game development and you can participate as a contributer as well as getting a free copy and other benefits. Although that has yet to happen, a new company known as Hive Media, is taking that new concept into action.
The “Zombie Game” experiment is their latest project which will be funded through the public. Everyone who donates $10.00 or more will be given free access to the final version of the game. You will also be given access to the design forums and you can share your ideas on the development. In addition, 25% of the donations will be contributed to Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. If the funding goal is not reached, all donations are returned to the donors.
Their target goal is $14,000 by December 11, 2009. 72 days left and $30 has been contributed. This is a great new concept that can open gateways to many different opportunities if the game succeeds. You’ll also be helping a great cause and if it doesn’t work, you’ll get your money back. Help kickstart this project now! More information on the development can be found at http://www.zombieexperiment.com.
Update: A correction to the donation amount, $1165.27 has been made via Paypal and $30 via kickstart. A new concept art has been released which you can find below. Help spread the word and enjoy!
