If it’s The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes you play, Wii lightsaber you will have

I don’t know how to feel about the upcoming Wii Star Wars lightsaber and Clone Trooper blaster. First of all, the game, The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes, should be great. The accessories, in theory, should be a lot of fun. You plug the Wii remote into the lightsaber like you do a hundred other accessories. The blaster should hook up about the same. Already it sounds like more fun than any Wii sports accessory, no? Tennis racket, lightsaber…tennis racket, lightsaber, it’s no contest.
My gut reaction is to run out and pick up these toys manufactured by Bensussen Deutch and Associates. I don’t even care if I’m playing the video game. Something about holding a lightsaber is strangely empowering. Make the sound. You know what I’m talking about.
The LucasArts licensed lightsabers are going to come in different colors modeled for your favorite Jedi. Here’s the rub. Get them you will, Star Wars kid you become. I’m not sure about the price yet. It doesn’t really matter. If you get the game, get the lightsaber. One word of caution, don’t film yourself with one.
