LittleBigPlanet 2 May Be Backwards-Compatible

Media Molecule is trying not to abandon their fanbase when LittleBigPlanet 2 comes by incorporating backwards compatibility for user-created content, which is great. What’s not so great is they might be charging for it.
To be clear, they are not yet working on LittleBigPlanet 2. Alex Evans is looking towards the future of the series, and apparently money is on the brain.
Speaking to GI.biz, Evans spoke up about the possibility of allowing players to access content from LittleBitPlanet to LBP2.
“We can give them backwards compatibility with those levels, and then when you decide on how you’re going to sell that to them… all I’m saying is we’ve got loads of options open to us, and we can pick really late. We can make them in a year’s time, or whenever we want to ship – and that’s really useful for a developer, you can make a fine grain decision about what the price point is, or how you dice it.”
All signs seem to point to a fee for using content from the first game, including hinting at a subscription to play every user-created level from the first game. Seems a little iffy for something that has zero quality control.
Naturally, none of this is set in stone, especially since LittleBigPlanet 2 isn’t even in development yet. But it’s interesting to see how the devs want to handle the project.

I heard that they r not releasing lbp 2 as a new game but rather as a very large add on for the first little big planet. This could be downloaded off PSN or bought as a disk and downloaded. Similar to other games dlcs e.g fallout 3s discs were downloaded, adding on to the main game.
