LucasArts announced they had big news via Twitter last week, but they couldn’t spill the beans until Monday, which is now.. uh.. today. And the big news will make more than a handful of people happy.

LucasArts and Steam have come together to bring “digital adventurey goodness” to the newer generation.

The first batch of 10 fantabulous old school classics will arrive on Steam July 8, and will include the following:

• Armed and Dangerous
• Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis
• Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade: The Graphic Adventure
• LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventure
• LOOM
• Star Wars Battlefront II
• Star Wars Republic Commando
• Star Wars Starfighter
• The Dig
• Thrillville: Off the Rails

President of LucasArts, Darrell Rodriguez, promises that this is just the beginning. And if it all goes well, this really could be an adventure game revival. Finally!

Check out the LucasArts Twitter feed, they’re just too excited to stop updating with new info.
