Man Finds Ecstasy Tablets in Used Copy of Grand Theft Auto

Richard Thornhill father of two boys, bought a used copy of Grand Theft Auto at Gamestation in the UK. Once he got home and open up the game, 4 tablets wrapped around a cling film fell out of the used game which was tucked away in the instruction manual.
He quickly took the tablets to the Police station, where they reported it might be likely they are ecstasy pills.
Mr. Thornhill, 34, said:
“When I opened the box up, the cling film wrap fell out. I could not believe it. I have two children and my son plays Xbox all the time. He could easily have opened the box and found them. I dread to think what the consequences would have been if he had. He is only 12. He could have died.”
Gamestation sent a apology to Mr. Thornhill, but he felt there should be stricter checks on ‘trade in’ games.
“It was a pre-used game, but that should not make a difference,” he said. “My wife is beside herself over this because she keeps thinking about what could have happened and so do I.”
Gamestation stated that they always check the ‘trade in’ games before selling them to the public:
“We have rigorous procedures for accepting pre-owned titles and checking them before they are put back on sale.”
Gamestation and the Police are trying to investigate on how this could had happen.
