Marvelous Considers Porting to Other Systems

The majority of the Wii userbase doesn’t isn’t exactly big on anything outside of ‘family friendly’ content range. And with No More Heroes and Muramasa having less-than-stellar sales in Japan, Marvelous Entertainment just might be bringing those games to the Wii’s competitors.

In a financial presentation, Marvelous showed that it was moving towards multiplatform development for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. They are also planning on porting over a selection of Wii titles, probably the more mature ones (I’m looking at you, No More Heroes), to the more mature-game-friendly consoles.

Muramasa: The Demon Blade and No More Heroes are shoe-ins for ports, especially the latter considering the content and the fact that Suda51 himself feels that the 360 or Ps3 would be better homes to further titles in the series.

But I wouldn’t expect several at once, Marvelous isn’t in the best financial position to dump a load of money on ports just yet. It’s almost a certainty that it will happen sometime in the future, it’s just a matter of when.
