Mass Effect 2 Launch Trailer
January 21, 2010 by Ruibo
Mass Effect 2 is just a week away from release from release on January 21st and BioWare has just given us another tease with their launch trailer.
It’s by far one of the best trailers I’ve seen, it gave me a bit of the goose bumps. In preparation for Mass Effect 2, I’ve decided to played the original again to get the saves — for those who aren’t clued in, your gameplay from part 1 will have an effect on the sequel. Your stats and levels won’t be transferred over in an obvious manner, but your reputation, your actions and accomplishments will make the story even more compelling. Everything you’ve completed in the original save file will be recorded and the characters in Mass Effect 2 will react with your history. Here’s a quick note, BioWare is already developing Mass Effect 3, so keep those saves files from Mass Effect 2!
If you have yet to pre-order, you still can, and get 1 of the 2 bonus awesome armors. Decisions, decisions, decisions, even before you’ve got the game. Here’s a quick reference to help you decide on your choice of store to pre-order:
- Amazon
– Inferno Armor, which increases Shepard’s negotiation skills, run speed, combat damage, a 5% discount and a $10 video game credit on your next purchase.
- GameStop
– Terminus Assault Armor which increases run speed, damage, shields, extra ammo reserve and the M-490 Blackstorm Heavy Weapon.
Ok, enough of my yapping, the game is only a week away. I still need to finish the second run in the original Mass Effect. Check out the launch trailer below.
Spoiler Alert
If you kill “your” Shepard in Mass Effect 2, you won’t be able to use him in part 3. You’ll still be playing a Shepard in part 3, just not “your” Shepard. Good luck!

The basic standard of literacy in this article is appalling:
‘givin’ – given
‘I’ve seen, given me a bit of the goose bumps’ – I’ve seen, it gave me the goose bumps
‘will react upon your history’ – will react with your history
Dear Gossipgamers, I am a copywriter and I need a job. You are a games website and you need someone who can construct a sentence.
‘Dear Gossipgamers, I am a copywriter and I need a job. You are a games website and you need someone who can construct a sentence.’ — ‘Dear Gossipgamers, I an a condescending punk with an attitude problem. My severe lack of social skills has basically rendered me unemployable, which frustrates me, so I get cheap thrills by pointing out silly mistakes that nobody else cares about. You are a games website who we both know wouldn’t stop to give me the time of day, much less actually consider me for any sort of employment opportunity after I’ve made it so blatantly obvious i’m a dick.’
You misspelled “I’m”. Thought, I’d just help you out there
Yep.
LOL! Absolutely made my morning. Good job!
I’d like to point out this is an article from a company, not some blog or forum message. There is an expectation as far as grammar, sentence structure, and basic understanding of the English language.
Haha, at least the author took it with constructive criticism. He went back and made the changes that were suggested by Matt 2.0.
