Capcom has officially announced the next installment in the Mega Man Legends series, Mega Man Legends 3: Prototype Version.

You’ll be able to download a chunk of the 3DS game at the 3DS eShop when it launches sometime in late May, as for the official release date for Mega Man Legends 3, no word on that yet.

Tye Prototype Version introduces a new playable character, Barett, the leader of a sky biker gang. Once the players have completed the core missions, they will gain access to areas of the game that are still in development and players can contribute their ideas into the development process. Players will also have access to a debug mode and you can see the development process.
