Michael J. Fox Will be Voicing ‘Someone’ for Back to the Future: The Game Episode 5

The graphic adventure video game ‘Back to the Future’ will be soon be concluded during the fifth episode. This film to video game adaptation is a retelling of the original series featuring the misadventures of our hero Marty McFly. The story is fresh and diverges from the original films that we know and love but is quite at home canonically. I’d like to think that the game so far is set not too long after part two and happens before the third installment film-wise. Remember, the Doc disappears at the end of the second film… And game-wise we’re not quite sure where the Doc is anyway.

Telltale Games are behind this one of a kind adventure game which has so far been favorable with critics. It shines out amongst most film adaptations because it feels like it could pass for one of the films. It was a spot on take of what we remember and how it could have been like in this new scenario. It feels familiar despite being new. For those who grew up to these films, I tell you, it’s like coming back home. Other than being plausible in the BTF timeline, the story itself is very engaging and fun to go through.

The characters resemble their film versions albeit cartoony looking. The original cast from the films have allowed the developers to replicate their likeness for their in-game selves but Michael J. Fox did not green light voicing his very own Marty. Instead a different voice actor was picked for the role and has received praise for his performance in this iconic role. This talented voice actor is none other than A. J. LoCascio.

But for the finale of Back to the Future, it has been confirmed that the comedy actor will be lending his voice to—someone. Nope, not Marty. Someone else. Supposedly a character Marty has met. Telltale Games seem to be somewhat tight lipped about who they possibly mean as of now. He’ll be voicing two characters the most.

We’ll just have to wait and see then!

Right now, Telltale Games is running a promo where you can purchase the entire five episodes for just $19.99 up and until June 23, 2011. That date also happens to the be the date when the final episode will be released worldwide on the PC and MAC.
