Microsoft Bans Xbox 360 Modders

Microsofts Halloween treat (or trick) brings an end to a number of Xbox Live accounts with their ban-hammer on illegal modders on the Xbox 360 console. A reported number of Xbox Live accounts have been banned last Friday. Microsoft has finally decided to put some more work on protecting their console.
“We have taken action against a small percentage of consoles that have been modified to play pirated game discs. In line with our commitment to combat piracy and support safer and more secure gameplay for the more than 20 million members of our Xbox Live community, we are suspending these modded consoles from Xbox Live.” says Microsoft.
The cost of your modded 360 may still outweigh your losses but that will be at your own risk. So did anyone have their accounts banned this weekend? Would you trade your live account for stolen games? Check out the poll below and let us know.

I know 3 people in my immediate Xbox circle that have been banned in the past 72 hours. All the dvd mods were accurate, they were just using games that have not been Stealth patched. If you don’t patch the game yourself, you may come in contact with this problem. Good luck and stay sharp, I have not been banned…. Yet.

gaming hack- straight up CHEAT! beat the world and be a bitch to those who just want to play the damn game!

But now whatever you had it doesnt really make a difference; your xbox Live is gone. we had fun with the gain of the price when shit was all good but now that all this bannd are occuring we pay the price of our accounts being bann.
which you could say is somewhat fair. Beacuse come on guys we knew it was all wrong the whole time we just wanted to see how long it could last until something happens to us.

microsoft is so money hungry, thats why ppl modd theire xbox 360..lol we have to pay for avatar clothes now are you kidding me??? good money move for microsoft though because most likely ppl would spend 200$ on another xbox and use the bann xbox for single player games or something then switch the hdd and maybe even buy a few offical copies if they really like the game…its better for us to do that than just pay for a gold membership every now and then for microsoft…sorry for all those innocent ppl that was cought up in the bann wave, maybe you ppl should go out and mod your consoles too…i guess this means war now lol and its a matter of time before we find out how to unbann our xbox live…

Modded console BANNED O well, happens sry, I was a little upset but sht happens when you hack anything (gotta expect it!). I didn’t know they were banning accounts tho, until my sht was gone!bye bye:(
You can unban but it is not even worth the time at the moment, just go buy a used one thats not banned and put your real game in and you’ll be fine.!hehe
