Microsoft just responded on the rumor of the Natal being the Xbox 360 successor. Two sources from inside Microsoft responded to this rumor. One source who was unnamed told Eurogamer that:
“Don’t believe nonsense on the internet is all I’ll say. We’ll do the right thing for Natal.”
The other more reliable source is Xbox Live group marketing manager Aaron Greenberg who said:
“I think part of the excitement about this announcement is that in many ways we are delivering a next generation experience this generation. With that said, I can confirm that Natal will run on Xbox 360 so no new console investment will be necessary.”
So there you have it, two sources shooting down the claim of Natal being the successor. However, right after this rumor was shot down we have another rumor to replace it (timing is everything).
Team Xbox has already kick started a rumor on Natal being full HD stereoscopic 3D visuals similar to 3D movie theatres.
Team Xbox said: It’s not our intention to tease you, but for now the only thing I’m going to say about everything I heard regarding the next Xbox is that it won’t launch until a certain type of television becomes more widespread because…
Team Xbox Twitter:
..in addition to built-in Natal tech, a key feature of the next Xbox would be full HD stereoscopic 3D visuals similar to 3D movie theatres.
This might just be a rumor on Xbox using Natal with 3d technology so lets not get ahead of ourselves here. Guess we have to wait until Microsoft respond to this rumor.
