Midway already announced they have filed bankruptcy and now it seems they plan on giving bonuses to their current employees. Court documents have shown that Midway has set aside $3,755,000 in bonuses which is to be divided among the upper management if certain goals are met.

The first goal which was met already is to find a co-publisher for Wheelman.  This accomplishment was worth a $497,500 bonus to the current employees and upper management.

The other two goals, which is not fullfilled yet, are to sell the Mortal Kombat property to another company and submit a new reorganization plan. Both is reported to be worth $1,292,500 each.

When all the goals are met, Midway will have about $3,755,000, which would be split among the staff that helped seal the deal. A specific group of up to 29 employees are eligible.

Out of that $3 million+ in bonuses none of it will reach to any former employees. Midway already suspended paying employees their paid personal time off which Midway promised to pay originally.

This shows how Midway’s upper managements are trying to milk every penny out of this for themselves. No matter how hard working the former employees were or what they contributed to the company.
