Ubisoft have announced that they’re going to release a new Might and Magic title on the DS. Might & Magic Clash of Heroes is a puzzle RPG from developer Cabybara Games. It’s due out in August this year.

Players will embark on missions and travel through five different quests. The actual game play alternates from turn based puzzle fights and explorations. The playable character is given the task of rescuing the world of Ashan from the encroaching minions of chaos. Players are able to customize their alias and lead armies in the Might and Magic universe. Graphically the game has an attractive manga style that suits the necromancers, demons, elves and wizards perfectly.

“Our fans have always appreciated the depth and richness of the Might & Magic universe,” Romain de Waubert de Genlis the senior producer at Ubisoft said . “The teams at Ubisoft and Capybara were inspired to extend that universe in a unique way onto the DS, creating an engaging new game experience.”

The game was created predominantly for current fans of the franchise although it certainly has the credentials to bring new fans into the fold. You can even play in two player mode.
