Modern Warfare 2 Details Leaked

Many new key details have been emerging about the hottest upcoming shooter Modern Warefare 2 courtesy of the next issue of Game Informer.
Some of these details that were leaked:
- No co-op in story mode, but separate missions reminiscent of CoD4’s Mile High Club include cooperative multiplayer.
- In the wintery bits of the game, snowmobiles will be used to escape attack, but it’s unclear whether players will be driving or shooting from the vehicles. Ice walls can also be climbed by alternating between the two triggers.
- A live-patching system will be implemented for online multiplayer, forgoing the need for a downloadable patch.
- Game will run at 60 frames-per-second, with better detail than CoD4.
- Riot shields, movable turrets and customized weapons for single-player enemies were mentioned.
- Gameplay’s a bit more open-ended than CoD4 but is still linear.
- Stealth can now be used if you like.
- Infinity Ward’s working on fixing enemy respawn issues (CoD4’s enemies would constantly respawn unless a player crossed a certain line).
- The single-player campaign will be longer than it was in CoD4.
Also according to PSM3, a UK based magazine:
- Swimming mode enabled.
- A ‘Stealthy’ Oil pipeline Scuba Mission will be included in campaign mode.
- A level will definetly be based in Rio De Janeiro.
- Siberian Level will feature in campaign mode.
- Vehicles (e.g. Trucks, Tanks etc.) will be introduced into the Modern Era.
- A ‘Helicopter Based’ Level will be featured.
- An Oil Tanker level will also be featured.
- Ken Lally (Wesker from Resident Evil 5) will be voice acting. Most likely as a Russian villain.

Hopefully, as in the past, Call of Duty remains great on the PC. Call of Duty is one of the few games left that isn't a console port.
Since when did COD become COD: specops? I want large scale war back.
Gotta love the people making huge jumps in logic based on a few seconds of video and a few sentences. How about seeing the game in more detail before jumping to conclusions, yes?
Nice,really appreciating the screenshots and Brandon, there is a version of COD4: Modern Warfare for the xbox 360, so it has a console port.

This game will be great but it needs to have Competitive Co-Op like COD: WAW.
Why do they continue to make fps games that aren't coop story mode? I'll never understand the thought process behind their thinking. Never. Lets make a kick ass fps (which we all really know it is just another boring fps) and take the only element that makes the game fun (playing coop with a friend sitting right next to you) and say fuck it, we'll just throw out another mildly entertaining piece of shit.
Seriously, I am sick and tired of playing these regurgitated FPS games that I can't even play with a friend.

from the screenshots above, i know there is a 1st person one, but if they make it 3rd person aswell like on the picture before that, i will actually have to cry!! Man i hate 3rd person it licks hairy bum cheese
The reason they are not letting u play coop on the campaign is probably that some of the missions are just to hard to implement coop into, such as missions where u have to escape on snowmobiles or the helicopter missons.
I'm tired of everyone complaining about what they want, and what NEEDS to be in a game. It's plain and simple COD is an fps and if you don't like it, fine and great, just shut up and play another game. They don't model the game after everything you want. Sure, there are a lot of things taht need fixed in games, but don't tell me about stuff that's in another game that makes it so great, there are things in COD that make it great that no other game uses. So please, shut the hell up with the co-op talk. It's clear COD wasn't geared to be a co-op fps. And if you want to play with some friends, why do you think it has online capabilities?
If the make Modern Warfare 2 in 1st person and 3rd person views that means that you can play the game in both ways however you want to play the game. Modern Warfare 2 is going to be number one best selling game. Sincerely, Macfan1

I dont really care about waw coop its boring if u ask me me but what they really need is some mode simular to nazi zombie and also be able to have a guest on olnine multiplayer and keep the camofouges like iN the first modern warfare
If there was a co-op mode it would only make it better. They really only need to change a few things, more weapons, more attachment(multiple attachments)would work well with a higher ranking system reach a certain rank and you get x ammount of attachments. Customized charicters would be sweet. DEstructable maps would really be cool. More maps more maps more maps. Cap the flag should have been in cod4, i hope it makes it to mw2.New perks and more of them. Other than that leave the game how it is. come on november. cant wait for tekken 6 either..
