Modern Warfare 2 ‘Stimulus Package’ Update Had a Very Hard Time Getting Stable

Not a very good day for Xbox Live owners who were trying to update the new Modern Warfare 2 ‘Stimulus Package’, since it was released broken.

Reports were pouring in that the DLC was unplayable and their “Mapathy” was getting worst. Luckily Major Nelson kept people updated on the progress and kept on twittering the process.

The MW2 Title Update is now live! It may take a few minutes for everyone worldwide to get it – our apologies for the delay. #MW2

Matchmaking is in a bad state on Xbox LIVE right now. We’re working on it and will resolve it as quickly as we can. #xboxlive #mw2

This is the progress first hand. You can see the number of connections increasing, were getting more stable! #MW2 (cont) http://tl.gd/m9jv4

#XboxLIVE matchmaking and #MW2 are in a much better place now and I see many of you playing. We’re still cleaning up a few loose ends.

Finally, the finished patching and update is letting the gamers actually play the new DLC, but there is still some bugs here and there, so hopefully it will be sorted out as soon as possible.

Ouch not really good news for Activision, but great news for EA since their update went by swimmingly.
