Muramasa not Shipping with English Language Track

Purists and Japanophiles rejoice: Vanillaware’s beautiful action game Muramada: The Demon Blade isn’t getting any English voiceovers. Those who aren’t obsessed with a game remaining in its original format are going to have to suck it up.
Ignition Entertainment, publisher of Muramasa, says the game is too “deeply steeped in Japanese tradition, mythology, and culture that trying to dub it, trying to make something more Western is really not a service to the product.” But a Wii game with no English track?
While Muramasa: The Demon Blade is a spiritual successor to the Playstation 2 game Odin Sphere and is guaranteed to be both beautiful and entertaining, chances are the game won’t sell well in North America. Wii owners are the least flexible of console owners this generation, and non-Nintendo developed or mini-game related games don’t sell (See: Madworld selling a mere 66,000 copies).
The Japanese-only voice acting is sure to put off the more casual crowd, but for the more obsessed demographic it may end up being a selling point.

Well…okay. What’s the big deal? So long as text is in English, I doubt many people will care.
