New King of Fighters XII Trailer: Triumph of Combat

King of Fighters XII is looking like the best game in the series since KoF ‘98 (no debating on this). The new HD trailer on Game Trailers gives the best look at the combat and the sprites yet, and it looks nothing short of phenomenal.

Featured as Best of Show for the fighting genre at E3, King of Fighters XII can’t get here soon enough. I think the fans can live without Mai Shiranui for at least one game.

Luckily, the North American release date has not been pushed back like the Japanese one.. yet. Here’s to hoping KoF XII will ship on July 7 as planned to give a whole new generation a real taste of one of the best 2D fighting series in history.
