New Mortal Kombat Gameplay Explained

When it comes to the fighting games, everybody knows about Mortal Kombat, the game that invented the fighting genre along with Street Fighter. Back in the 90’s everything was about Mortal Kombat and Mortal Kombat was everywhere, even on the movie screen. Although, the movies didn’t achieve the success that the game already established. As you know, Warner Bros is working hard on the new movie sequel and on the new Mortal Kombat game.

I’m sure that you’ve heard a lot about the new Mortal Kombat game, but after watching the gameplay video I was left speechless. New gameplay is amazing, graphics are great and the game is as violent as it should be. Animations look smooth and natural and absolutely everything looks great about this game. As you know, Mortal Kombat is a classical fighting game where you need to beat your enemy to death and with the new and improved graphics amount of violence in this game is increased to a whole new level.

It is still good old Mortal Kombat game, and if you ever played any other Mortal Kombat game you should feel familiar with all the moves. The thing that I find especially interesting is this meter in the bottom that fills itself while you’re beating your opponent. As the meter fills you can perform all sorts of special moves, but if it fills to the max the real fun starts. Action starts to slow down and you’ll see the X-ray view of your opponent as you hit him with devastating attack. You’ll see his muscles and bones being crushed by your fists so I’ll have to admit that it looks amazing. Of course, Mortal Kombat game wouldn’t be what it is without extremely violent fatalities. Fatalities are back and bloodier than before, so for example you can now punch your enemy and he’ll fly into the spiked pit. My personal favorite is when Scorpion cuts his enemy to pieces, it’s really looks violent and suits the Mortal Kombat style perfectly. As for the characters we have seen several of them such as Scorpion, Mileena, Reptile, Sub-Zero, Kung Lao, Johnny Cage, Night Wolf and Sektor and there will be additional 18 characters to unlock.

So what can I say about new Mortal Kombat, it’s back, it’s bloody, it’s violent and it looks simply amazing. Graphics are great and fatalities look extremely brutal, as they should. If you’re a Mortal Kombat fan make sure that you don’t miss it when it hits the stores.
