New Super Mario Bros Wii Beats Modern Warfare 2 in Sales Huh?
January 20, 2010 by srfto

It just weird when you put Modern Warfare 2 and New Super Mario Bros Wii in a sales competition together, even though the smart choice would go with Modern Warfare 2. Surprisingly enough, however, it is reported that New Super Mario Bros Wii sold 10 million as of now which makes it the best selling game and beating out Modern Warfare 2.
Although, New Super Mario Bros Wii did not beat the combined versions of Modern Warfare 2 (PS3, Xbox 360, PC). It still a big feat to actually take out the most popular FPS game as of now and to be released only on the Nintendo Wii.
Congrats to Mario and the gang.

I think its awesome.. I also think someone should be proof reading this stuff before its posted..
Where are the actual specific numbers? And who goes by units sold? You go by profit so cheap games aren’t seen better than they should be. I’m willing to bet that since MW2 costs more on its own, and the various extra bundles, it has made way more money, which is really the contest here. If it was by units sold, people could just release a 5 dollar game that tops the charts. Does that mean it’s better or has made more money? No. Come to think of it, the Xbox 360, which has always cost way more than the Wii has no doubt made more money. If two things aren’t the same price, you have to go by overall profits, not units–that would just be ridiculous.
