Famitsu has revealed a Nintendo 3DS Circle Pad add-on for the release of Monster Hunter 3 G, has been confirmed by Nintendo to be real.

A rumor suggests the hardware add-on will snap onto the handheld device, adding a second circle pad to the right side of the 3DS. Other reports also indicates that the attachment will consist of a cradle-like attachment that juts out slightly from the original hardware and has an R2 shoulder button.

Nintendo has a press conference scheduled for next week in Tokyo. We can expect a more official announcement then, but for the time being, check out the Famitsu shot of the dual analog stick below.

IMO, Nintendo should have incorporated that circle pad onto the design and not a half year later after its release.
