Nintendo Already Working on New Platform [Rumor]

Recently there are rumors flying around that Nintendo is working on a secret project on the side. Well, just today Videogamer got some info from a employee at a major international publisher who said:

“Just heard a rumour that you may be interested in: Nintendo are going to announce a new platform at GDC. Some devs have already started work on it.”

It is still not confirmed on whether it will be a new console or a new handheld device or if they working on anything new at all. Nintendo already responded to this by saying that “this is purely rumour and speculation”.

Regardless if the rumor is true or not, we did hear Michael Pachter said that the HD version of the Wii will be coming soon, which might just be what the secret project and announcement might be in GDC.

So we will have to wait till GDC to confirm whether Nintendo is working on a new platform.

I’m definitely hoping for a new console or a handheld, since having a HD Wii does not interest me as much.
