Nintendo Might Be “Tingling” Japan Again

North American and European fans of the Zelda series, in general, don’t like Tingle. But Japanese fans love the little green guy, for reasons yet to be explained. Some speculate it’s the tights, while others the mammoth nose and tiny goatee.

While the reason Japan loves Tingle so much is still a mystery, the fact remains that he has already had two outings of his own on the DS (Freshly-Picked Tingle’s Rosy Rupeeland and Tingle’s Balloon Fight DS). Obviously, they haven’t gotten very far out of good ol’ crazy Nihon.

This month’s Famitsu has a teaser image for what appears to be another Tingle game.

All it says is “Fairy?” but the implication is clear: Tingle’s taking another ride around the block. DS-style.

It’s not clear whether the game will be DSiWare, an actual title, or an omen for what’s to hit shores worldwide but he is coming, one way or another.
