Shigeru Miyamoto and Nintendo revealed the “Demo Play” feature in June scheduled for a Christmas launch, specially for the New Super Mario Bros. Wii and other console-based adventures. Well guess what? This feature will also be implemented in portable games in the future. That’s right!!

Japan’s famous Nikkei newspaper notes that “Demo Play” feature will be soon available even in handheld portable games. This new feature will let the game take over from the player and play itself through particularly tough areas, allowing them to avoid the frustrating bits and, one would imagine, a sense of accomplishment that goes along with having to struggle through the hard bits.

“Demo Play” is designed to help attract new and casual players to Nintendo’s various titles by offering them an “out” when they bump up against rough spots in games, without making things overly easy for gamers who enjoy the extra challenge.

Now even Grandma’s can enjoy some mad gaming fun while sipping on their daily coffee or tea or watching their usual soap opera’s!!
