Pandora on Your Xbox 360?

Not too long ago last.fm made the leap from the computer on to the Xbox 360, which raised questions on whether or not Pandora would do the same. For those who aren’t familiar with these programs, the big draw is that they feature automated recommendation systems. Basically, they act like a musically-inclined buddy who says, “Hey, you like this song? You might like this one then.” Using detailed profiles of individual songs and artists, Pandora can match songs that you know you like with other music that has similar characteristics. It’s a great way to discover new artists – and it’s totally free.

Anyway, when Joystiq asked some of the higher ups behind Pandora, they said that they’d be happy to be on board. Pandora is already available on a number of other media devices, so it’s not a particularly big leap to imagine it on the Xbox or other gaming platform. It seems like Pandora is feeling out their audience and seeing if it’s something that people really want. So, if Pandora is something you’d like to see on your home console, make sure you let them know.
