Payload Race Mode Added To Team Fortress 2 Sniper Update

Valve today announced a new game mode that they’re going to add to their Team Fortress 2 Sniper update.
The mode is called “Payload Race” and functions in a similar fashion to the previous payload mode. The difference though is the addition of a second cart, instead of one team pushing the cart this mode will feature two carts, with both teams racing to the finish.
The new map for Payload Race is called “pipeline” and according to the official Valve image below if the players stop pushing the cart will roll back down to the bottom of the ramp and they’ll have to start all over again.

They’ve also revealed plans to include another two arena maps titled Nucleus and Sawmill.
Sawmill is “Set in a stormy mountain sawmill, this arena map has its cap point in a large structure atop a hill in the center of the map; beneath which lies a hidden underground spytech base; and above which, pouring down on everything we just mentioned, is rain–the first weather effect to appear in a TF map.”
Whereas Nucleus on the other hand features a bottomless radioactive pit and long sightlines plus there’s a section of catwalks suspended over a chasm that open once the timer runs out. Sounds amazing.
This update will be available in only a matter of days.
