PDP just announce they have made a motion sensor controller for the Xbox 360, which they called the ‘Gametrak Freedom’. The Gametrak Freedom will offer wireless motion based controls which uses Microsoft’s proprietary wireless protocol and a three axis accelerometer to detect motion, with a trigger button on the underside of the remote. (meaning it is similar to the Wii-mote)

However, PDP states that it is different from Nintendo’s Wii-mote because the Gametrak Freedom uses two sensor bars that sit on the opposite of the television, while Nintendo uses only one point detection. Gametrak Freedom does not rely on the gamer pointing a controller at the screen, nor does it restrict the gamer to limited movements. The system accurately tracks the true 3D position and precise movements of up to four players anywhere within a given environment.

PDP will bundle the controller with a game called ‘Squeeball’, which GameSpot said is like ‘Warioware’ and ‘Cooking Mama’ put together. PDP also said the controller with ‘Squeeball’ will run about $70 to $75 and will be available this Fall.
