Pirates of the Caribbean Explores “Action RPG” Genre

Fortunately for pirate lovers everywhere, Pirates of the Caribbean has created a new world of pirate fun on the big screen and on every next generation game console. They’ve even made sure to provide a glimpse into the PoTC universe for the PC gamers. Now, they are exploring the idea of letting the player explore the world themselves, an opportunity never before provided to the Pirates of the Caribbean fans.
The new game is entitled Pirates of the Caribbean: Armada of the Damned. The story takes place before the previous movies and games and the main character is a generic pirate that the player will create the story for. The ultimate goal? To become the most well known pirate on the seven seas. It will be up to the player whether or not the character is famous or infamous.
Many choices will need to be made by the player throughout the game which will have altering effects on the character. Some of these decisions will even lead to a serious change in the story, making replay value much better than previous Pirates games.
Exploration will be left up to the player. A person could go through the game following the main story, but they will be missing out. Across the entire game world there will be hidden areas and extra people with side stories available for the player to do, and results can still vary depending on how the player chooses to handle each scenario.
Cameos are expected from well-known Pirates of the Caribbean characters but who will be making an appearance has not been revealed. Any characters seen will only have short parts to play in the story since the goal of the game is to create a free-range PoTC universe. Still, we can be sure that any brief appearances will be full of the entrancing personalities we know and love.
A release date has not yet been officially released. For those who want this to be as great of a game that it has the potential to be, it’s best not to wish for it to come out faster. Armada of the Damned can be a whole new and fun look into Pirates of the Caribbean and the last thing anyone wants is the game to have awesome features omitted for time sake.
Keep an eye out for this incredible new game on the PS3, XBox 360, and PC and remember to look for new information being unfurled as the game gets closer to release. We all hope Pirates of the Caribbean fanatics won’t be disappointed.
