Pokémon is Considered A Way For Kids To Worship the Devil

Pokémon is considered the gateway to the devil’s doorstep by a church evangelist. The evangelist preached in his sermon that Pokémon will teach kids to kill each other with dark forces and fans of the series will not go to heaven but straight to hell from the teachings of Pokémon.
The video is kind of old so this was probably taken during the height of Pokémon in the late 90’s. You know I would never thought about it that way until after I saw his sermon. Also, this reminded me of that South Park episode where they were addicted to ‘chipokemon’, so I did chuckled throughout the video.

You think gang members get their guns legally? You think that if all the evil “right-wingers” were thrown out of office and guns were banned that gang members and those wishing to do others harm would be unable to acquire weaponry? No he doesn’t, because he is an atheist and does not believe in a higher power, creator of the universe, god, or spiritual being. Being an atheist means just that – living life for the here and now with the belief that it is the only life one has and therefore it should be lived in a moral way, and not living it just to appease a higher power. That might seem hard for someone who is religious/spiritual to understand, but it’s just a different way of looking at the world and of leading one’s life – which is, in reality, what all beliefs, religions, and spiritualities fundamentally are.
So it’s based entirely on what you consider credible? Religion is what ever you think isn’t real? I’m a Christan man, and I still find that incredibly offensive and ignorant of you. I played Pokemon for years but I’m still a loser who can’t beat up bullies T_T someone pls teach me how to use my spells!
Christians love to attack videogames for the ‘respawn’ mentality saying that children think that people who die will just come back to life later on, but they always fail to mention that religion has been spouting that idea for thousands of years. Greek, Norse, and Egyption mythology all depict heroes crossing into the realm of the dead seeking advice from those that have passed or bringing them back to the realm of the living, and Jesus Christ rose from the dead as well. Most of Christian control is based on the idea of “living after death” in either heaven or hell, so maybe they should look at themselves before they criticize videogame designers for using a theme in their work probably inspired by the same fools preaching against them.
Well, the Pokemon don’t die. They just faint. lol
And then they’re taken by their trainers to a Pokemon center to HEAL. This game is clearly teaching kids how to take care of an animal when it’s sick and hurt. I can’t understand how anyone can misconstrue healing an injured (fictional) animal that is in your care as a pet as something evil simply because the Pokemon are ‘respawing’ in a way. It’s more or less teaching kids to care about creatures in their possession.
Though there is a Pokemon graveyard in Lavender Town in the first generation games (Red, Blue, and Yellow, plus Green in Japan; also mentioned in Gold, Silver, and Crystal at the end of the game when the player can go back to the same towns as Red/Blue/Yellow. Also revisited in FireRed and LeafGreen, the remakes of Red and Green, and I think in HeartGold and SoulSilver, too, which are remakes of Gold and Silver), and it is mentioned that Pokemon can die, but they DO NOT come back to life. There’s also the Pokemon necropolis/graveyard area you can reach in Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald. If any one of these Evangelical idiots ever bothered to actually play the games, they’d realize that there’s absolutely nothing in them about Pokemon ‘respawning’ after ‘dying’, that they DO NOT die in battle, that no Pokemon belonging to the player die in-game, and that when Pokemon in the game’s world DO actually die, they stay dead and are buried in a graveyard just like people are, mimicking pet cemetaries in real life. Everything about the games is pretty much mimicked in real life, just without the ‘animals with special powers’ aspect. Pets, competition, games, friends, travel, death, birth, and yes, even religion (look at the myths surrounding the Legendary Pokemon, and also Arceus, which is the god of the Pokemon universe). It’s a strategy game, pure and simple, and that’s all – and it’s totally innocent.

Well,I was around for the “pokemon craze”. It was so popular,that it was even on
the Rosie O’Donald show. It was a fad, like all fads back then. The problem with god and pokemon is this. Pokemon comes from another society where you are not allowed to keep pets in your religion “Japan”. Along with Tamigotchi and Digimon, it is perfectly understandable. Pokemon otherwise was a complete waste of time, and only was a succes since it was a Nintendo game.
There is nothing wrong with the game, asides people wanting to beat the game like Chess. The only thing wrong with the game, is that after wasting my youth on it, the game battery ran out, and all my pokemon was gone forever. Fook Nintendo for there shitty tatics, of installing cheap batteries, and droping half the fans.
