Possessing RapeLay Might be a Federal Offense in the US
June 21, 2009 by srfto

The controversy revolving around ‘RapeLay’, the Japanese hentai game has reach a new level in the US. First, they ban the game from selling on Amazon, then they ban the game from publishing in Japan, and now it seems owning the game will be a federal crime in the US.
In a recent court ruling U.S. citizen who owns RapeLay and similar games will be guilty of a federal crime. This came about when Wired reported of a man in Virginia ‘Dwight Whorley’, who was convicted of 20 years in prison for possessing kiddie porn and distributing pornographic fiction over email. However, prosecutors also charged him with possessing hentai manga (which has minors engaging in explicit sex) by using the recently-enacted Protect Act, which is:
Any person who… knowingly possesses a visual depiction of any kind, including a drawing, cartoon, sculpture, or painting, that—
(1) (A) depicts a minor engaging in sexually explicit conduct; and
(B) is obscene; or
(2) (A) depicts an image that is, or appears to be, of a minor engaging in graphic bestiality, sadistic or masochistic abuse, or sexual intercourse, including genital-genital, oral-genital, anal-genital, or oral-anal, whether between persons of the same or opposite sex; and
(B) lacks serious literary, artistic, political, or scientific value… shall be subject to the penalties provided…
(c) Nonrequired Element of Offense.— It is not a required element of any offense under this section that the minor depicted actually exist.

Judge Roger Gregory
Also, note that not all Judges think this law is right. One Judge named ‘Judge Roger Gregory’ who is appealing to the Supreme Court to reverse this case and change the Protect Act. He stated:
“I am hard-pressed to think of a better modern day example of government regulation of private thoughts than what we have before us in this case: convicting a man for the victimless crime of privately communicating his personal fantasies to other consenting adults,”
Wired also reported of a man named Christopher Handley, a comic book collector in Iowa with a similar case. He was also convicted for possessing manga art depicting children having sex, but the difference was he did not own any real, obscene pictures of nude children having sex. Although, he does not have any real obscene pictures of nude children, he still faces a maximum of 15 years prison sentence because of the 2003 Protect Act.
So, if you have any hentai games like RapeLay or any hentai manga at all. I suggest you start deleting it or throwing those mangas out, hell move to Japan, because the Government is starting to crack down on this. It is no use to explain to them that these hentai pictures are just lines and not real.
Would like to hear your comments on this case.

THOUGHT CRIME
If people who are able to control their sickness with drawing of children online are robbed of their outlet, they may start harming REAL children.
It’s important to protect children, not monitor the thoughts of adults.
this is so retarded -.-
are people so worried about real kids that they take away pictures of anime kids?
what the shit are they thinking? people who are no longer allowed to have the thoughts or pictures or anything liek that, they revert to ACTION!
which basically means that someone might go do some “serprise buttsecks” on a kid, possibly even dressed up as pedobear just as an homage to pedophilia, which isnt actually pedophilia if its just some drawings of kids THAT ARE ANIME; NOT IRL!
also, as long as those people have that game, they will keep their hands busy with themselves instead of some children irl -.-
