Yes, Twitter is popular. Yes, it’s the newest thing in marketing (including viral). But come on, Professor Layton tweeting? Tweeting riddles, no less.

It is a clever way to market the next game in the series, Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box. And the riddles are better than 95% of the tweets floating around.

How often do you see anything on the site remotely like “Good day everyone! Here’s today’s riddle: If it has a quart capacity, how many pennies can you put into a empty piggy bank?” or “I just shared a wonderful cup of green tea with Luke and Flora. Not to mention, I did quite well at my fencing lesson! What a marvelous day!” floating around?

What a marvelous day indeed.

Anyone interested can follow the riddles up to the game’s release date on August 24, and then he’ll surely be full-tilt in his brand new adventure and unable to supply them to the Twitter masses.
